Fundamentals of Vector Illustration
The learning curve, illustrating with Designer, can be steep, especially when coming from a raster environment.
Have you taken classes but you’re still feeling stuck? Let’s work together to get you unstuck. In this private, 1:1 tutorial, we’ll walk through the challenges, and get you on the right path for progress and success.
Beyond the Basic Patterns
A Look at Image Editing & Processing
With multiple personas, both on the iPad, and desktop, using Affinity Photo to edit your work might seem like a daunting task.
Let’s break it down together, based on your editing needs. Having an understanding of the interface and tools, and which to use when, make a huge difference in the editing process.
These are just a few of the possibilities for your custom 1:1 meeting. When you sign up for a session, you will have the opportunity to let me know exactly what you wish to achieve, so that we can make the most of our time together.
Whether it’s working out issues with a specific project, or mapping out a creative path, no matter the Affinity app, desktop, or iPad, the session is whatever you want it to be.
1:1 Coaching is a new initiative being offered as an ongoing collaboration with Skillshare.
Want to build a career in surface pattern design, using Affinity, but find the pattern creation process a bit confusing?
In this private tutorial, we’ll chat about what types of designs you want to create and walk through how best to approach them.
A Dive in to Desktop Publishing
Whether you create digital planners, mockups, or publish your own zine, Affinity Publisher lets you go beyond the desktop and create on your iPad as well. But where do you start?
We’ll talk about your plans for digital assets, whether you’re creating them for personal use, or for sale. Then we’ll cover what tools will work best for your designs, and how you can create them efficiently and with ease.
Testimonials
“I recently booked a 60 minute session with Tracey to help me get a better understanding of Affinity Designer, which I was finding to be extremely challenging. It was the best money I have ever spent. She is, hands down, a Designer genius. What she doesn’t know hasn’t been added yet. She came to the meeting knowing what my issues were and was prepared to address them. She walked me through everything with online demonstrations, as well as watching me work. Not only did I walk away with my questions answered, I walked away with a host of other tips and tricks that will go a long way in allowing me to not only work in Designer, but have fun doing it. Thank you Tracey!”
“I have been taking Tracey’s classes for quite some time and she has always been my go to expert on the Affinity suite. When I saw she was offering 1:1 coaching, I signed right up, knowing I could use some private tutoring to really solidify my understanding of the apps. She was able to help me get unstuck in both Designer and Publisher. Not only that, but she showed me how I could use both together, to achieve even more than I had originally imagined. She is an amazing resource for these products.”

How Do 1:1 Sessions Work?
Step 1: Check My Calendar For Available Times
My calendar is always up to date with the latest openings. You can find my current availability here on cal.com:
Step 2: Book your session with me…
Select the meeting length that is best for you, based on the descriptions in the booking page. Please be sure to answer the questions on the booking page to give me an idea of what you would like to cover.
If you are unsure how much time to book for your needs, please feel to reach out to me to discuss here:
Step 3: Be on the lookout for an email from me…
Once booking is confirmed, I’ll send you an email asking some more detailed questions. The detail will allow me to custom craft a session for you that will allow me to meet your needs as effectively and efficiently as possible.
You will also receive the Zoom call in information.
Step 4: Time for the session…
The session will be held over Zoom. I will have two cameras set up, one on me and the other on either my iPad or desktop, depending on what we will be covering. Together, we’ll address all of the questions you shared on the pre-session questionnaire.
Please note: The session can be recorded, if you would like. I will ask permission before starting the recording. If you opt for a recording, it will be sent to you after the session and is yours to keep.
Please note: While the 1:1 Coaching sessions are being offered in collaboration with Skillshare, you do NOT need a Skillshare membership to book a session, just a valid email address.
