Hi there! I’m Tracey, a photographer, digital illustrator, surface pattern designer, and online educator based in the Midwest.

In 2011, I left an almost 20 year corporate career behind to put my lifelong creative side to work, and I’ve never looked back. Not only do I get to make a living creating beautiful things, but I get to teach others how to as well.

I live in the south suburbs of the always amazing, and inspirational, city of Chicago, with my husband, fellow teacher and artist, Joe Smigielski, and our two adorably weird cats, Sadie and LuLu.

My very curious nature, along with my lifelong creative, and technical, side, see me spending much of my creative time exploring new ways to create, and bridging the organic nature of the analog world, with the efficient and precise world of technology.
