The long awaited Adobe Illustrator for iPad is here and, in this class, you will learn the basics of the application by creating three simple floral illustrations using various tools within the app.

What you will learn in this class:

• The basics of Adobe Illustrator for iPad, including the layout of the application.
• How to create simple vase and flower illustrations using a combination of built in shapes and the Shape Builder Tool.
• How to create simple vase and flower illustrations using a combination of the Pencil Tool and Direct Selection Tool.
• How to use the Pen Tool to create basic vase and flower shapes.
• How to use the Radial Repeat to create flowers for your illustration as well as how to make adjustments once the repeat is created.
• How to create basic leaf shapes using the Pencil Tool 
• How to add embellishments to your shapes using a combination of all of the drawing tools.
• How to add text to your illustration and set it on a path you create
• How to add depth and dimension using texture image files with Clipping Groups.

Digital Paper Collage in Procreate

Grab your virtual scissors, glue and paper...In this class, we're going to embrace the imperfections of paper collage style and create digital collage vegetables using Procreate. 

In this class, you will learn:

• Where to source ideas for your digital collage vegetables (and other collage illustrations!)

• How to create custom color palettes from photographs as well as how you can source specific colors from photographs in Procreate's Reference Panel.

• How to create your own digital texture papers that you can use to cut out shapes for your vegetables or anything you want to collage and use textural brushes to add depth and dimension to them.

• How to use the Freehand Selection tool as a pair of, "digital scissors," to cut out the wonderfully imperfect shapes you're going to use to create your vegetable illustrations and put them all together to create a variety of vegetable shapes.

• How to use the shapes you cut as guides to create the overall illustration.

• How to add depth and dimension to your vegetable collages using a mix of textured brushes, color and your digital papers.

When you take this class, you will receive a large set of textural Procreate brushes and colorful, textured digital papers I created especially for the class.

Modern Folk Art Insects in Affinity Designer for iPad

In this class, I will show you step by step how I create my perfectly symmetrical folk art inspired insects using my Symbol Symmetry method. You will learn:

• Where to source inspiration for your Modern Folk Art Insect Project,
• All about Boolean (Geometric) Opersations and how you can use them to create a wide variety of interesting shapes for your insects,
• How to add subtle, yet effective, color and texture to give life and dimension to your illustration  
• How to use a mix of the Assets studio and Designer's drawing and shape tools to add both simple and complex elements to your designs.

Affinity Designer for iPad: Symmetrical Floral Illustrations Using the Symbols Studio

In this class, you will learn how to create perfectly symmetrical vector floral illustrations, right in Affinity Designer for iPad's Designer Persona without a sketch. I will show you my process for skipping the symmetry tool on the raster side and setting up your canvas for perfect symmetry using symbols. You will also learn how making an edit to one symbol will automatically make the same edit to all duplicates of that symbol with no manual intervention needed. When you take this class, you will receive my Symbol Symmetry Assets pack, full of single layer, vector florals and leaf shapes and you can use, along with the built in vector drawing and shape tools to create your own designs.

Affinity Designer for iPad:  Floral Typography

In this class, you will learn how to create your own letters and florals, right on your iPad, using Designer's built in shapes, geometric operaions and other tools. I will also show you how to use your letters as a mask to clip your florals inside of a base letter, then use the Pencil tool to release certain portions of them, while leaving others clipped. When you take the class, you will receive a font back that I created specifically for the class, a set of letter, flower and leaf assets I created as well as a specialty vector brush pack that helps you add additional texture to your flowers.

Affinity Designer for iPad: Create Textural Florals

In this class, you will learn how to create beautiful, textured florals using Affinity Designer's dual vector and raster workspaces. I will take you through the entire interface, show you how to use vector tools to create organic floral shapes and three ways you can add natural looking, subtle texture to create a final illustration. When you take the class, you will receive my Nature Elements Assets pack as well as a set of vector brushes that will help you further build your flowers.
