About Tracey Capone

Hello and welcome!

My name is Tracey Capone and I am a self-taught photographer, and illustrator, who moved to  Chicago in 1999. In 2011, I left behind a 17 year corporate career to put my lifelong creative side to work, and I have never looked back.

My husband, painter Joe Smigielski, and I recently moved from the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago to the beautiful South suburbs where we have a lot more studio space to spread our creative wings.

I have had the privilege of seeing my work on HGTV, the local Chicago news, in the west elm blog, Sweet Paul Magazine, Time Out Chicago, and Midwest Living Magazine. My photography can be seen on the TV Land show, "Teachers," the Fox show, “Next,” as well as on the NBC show, "Chicago PD." I am proud to have a current partnership, for select work, with Pottery Barn, and a previous partnership with IKEA as well as partnerships with several local businesses.

In addition to creating my own work, I teach online classes and tutorials in a variety of digital applications, here on Skillshare and YouTube.

Would you like to learn more about what drives my work? Please take a look at my Artist Statement here.

Thank you for stopping by...Enjoy your time here!
